Small Luxury Cars

European automakers are looking at the US as a new market for their small luxury cars for the first time. It has always been the case that Americans were unwilling to pay a premium for small cars, even those that wore luxury nameplates, and sales of such cars remain low today.
However, the European luxury brands think that will change in the next few years. They are rolling out new small cars with premium prices and luxury content for the US market which will meet strict new government fuel economy standards. Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a concept version of the redesigned A-class coupe in April that has made a great impression for its stylish design. The A class is expected to debut in the US in 2013, and it will be the first of a new generation of sub-$30,000 small cars from European automakers in the coming years.
