Luxurious Hotel in Libya

A luxurious hotel is not what comes to mind when most people think of Libya today, but there is in fact a luxury hotel in that country that is blooming amid the unrest. The Corinthia Hotel Tripoli has actually reported an increase in the number of visitors over the past two months, coming as a surprise given the serious political unrest that is going on there.

Corinthia, which is part-owned by Dubai World, has said that the composition of its visitors has shifted from tourists and businessmen to groups of reporters and protocol officers. This has created a surge in business for the hotel, which is filling a range of 60 to 90 rooms each day, while many other major hotels in the country have shut down their businesses in the past two months.
